Indore, Madhya Pradesh: Chief Minister Mohan Yadav unveiled a new 128-slice CT scan machine at the Super Specialty Hospital of MGM Medical College, as well as inaugurated a newly constructed (G+2) block at Government Dental College costing around Rs 6 crore. Donated by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited as part of their CSR initiative, the advanced equipment is set to greatly enhance the hospital's diagnostic capabilities. Yadav marked the occasion by cutting the ribbon at the CT scan room and receiving a detailed briefing on the machine's features. The Chief Minister was informed that the new block, built by the Public Works Department, would address the space constraints highlighted by the Dental Council of India during inspections. The state government is also arranging for the installation of an OPG machine and 75 dental chair units at the dental college through the Madhya Pradesh Public Health Corporation, benefiting undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as outpatients. Yadav emphasized that these healthcare upgrades demonstrate the administration's dedication to advancing medical services in the state. He highlighted that the cutting-edge CT scan machine would aid in early disease detection and accurate diagnoses, while the new dental college building would ensure top-notch facilities for dental students. Additionally, during his visit to Indore, Yadav toured the forthcoming ISBT at MR-10, scheduled to be operational by December. He announced plans for Indore to house India's largest inter-state bus terminal, designed akin to an airport, which he believed would stand as a significant landmark for the city and state, enhancing the state's infrastructure.The construction of a new terminal at a cost of Rs 101 crore by IDA is set to improve the travel experience for passengers, especially with the upcoming Simhastha religious gathering. The 15-acre facility is capable of handling up to 80,000 passengers daily and can accommodate 1,440 buses around-the-clock. It will feature 14 ticket counters, a 1,000-vehicle parking facility, 43 bus platforms, a VIP lounge, a food court, and other amenities. In addition, the CM inaugurated a library at Holkar Science College and assured employees at the Sanchi Dairy Plant that there will be no lay-offs. The MP government is committed to strengthening the state’s dairy sector and supporting dairy cooperatives. The CM also unveiled the statue of martyr Amrita Devi Bishnoi at the city forest, costing Rs 30 lakhs, as a tribute to her community's sacrifice in environmental protection. Lastly, the CM received blessings from Praman Sagar Maharaj in Indore and learned about the 'Health of Indore Campaign', which conducted blood tests for around 50,000 people.
